Recognising the importance of visual storytelling, Keystone collaborated with Green Hub to run a year-long audio-visual fellowship for indigenous youth.

Programme highlights:

  • Engaged 8 indigenous youth fellows

  • Provided intensive training in:

    • Filmmaking and editing

    • Sound recording and storytelling

    • Documentation of cultural and ecological knowledge

Outcomes:

  • Production of short films on music, oral traditions, and performative practices

  • Strengthened youth-led documentation of intangible cultural heritage

  • Created pathways for creative expression and leadership through media

This initiative marked a shift toward visual media as a tool for cultural revitalization and intergenerational knowledge transfer.
