Jeyanthi R
Jeyanthi R. is an Irula Community Researcher & Additional Programme Coordinator at People and Nature Collectives, Keystone Foundation. She has been engaged with Radio Kotagiri 90.4 MHz and Nilgiri Seemai Suddhi. She has had relevant training in community media and barefoot journalism. Her mediums are writing and audio recording. Her work on understanding of community histories and Irula Traditional Cultural Expressions has been ongoing for nearly 6-8 years. Her familiarity with community media initiatives has helped her to formulate ideas on the need to communicate community histories within communities, the nuances of indigenous languages and also focus on intergenerational knowledge transfer, especially of techniques of culture.
Merab Manu
Merab is Trainings Coordinator at Keystone, where her community-media forward work involves coordinating a year-long incubator for indigenous and local journalists in the NBR region. She is also qualified in ethnographic research and project management.
Shawn Stephen
Shawn Stephen presently co-leads communications at Keystone Foundation having previously worked in the Biodiversity Conservation unit within the same organisation for almost two years. He has a master's in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester and also has experience working as a creative practitioner.
Manickam
Manickam has been working with Keystone Foundation for the past eight years. He completed a diploma and developed a strong interest in community media. Over the last eight years, he has been actively involved in community radio, using media as a tool for community engagement, awareness, and knowledge sharing. During this period, he successfully contributed to and completed several government-supported projects. His experience includes community communication, program coordination, field engagement, and promoting local voices through radio.
